Continuing regulatory concerns with the safety of chemicals to which man is exposed and decreasing resources in the R&D units of many companies have often forced the toxicologist into a position with too many “first priorities.” With its highly experienced and multi-disciplined staff, EPL is well positioned to assist today’s busy toxicologist by assuming the responsibility for stewardship of selected studies or programs and for many time-consuming laboratory operations.
EPL Toxicology Services is a unit dedicated to ensuring that the toxicology studies of its clients are compliant with US and International regulations governing study design, conduct, and reporting; and that studies are of the highest possible technical quality. This unit, led by individuals certified by the American Board of Toxicology, is staffed with highly trained individuals who have a wide range of experience in both industrial laboratories and Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
A particularly valuable resource available to EPL clients is EPL Archives, Inc., an affiliated service company. The Archives provides optimal long-term storage facilities for residual materials and research data. Archives, Inc. also offers expert consultation for clients requiring client-site archives. This archiving experience has led to EPL’s role as designers and keepers/custodians of the National Toxicology Program Tissue Archive and Repository in the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina.
