Mammalian, Avian and Aquatic Histology

Since 1971, EPL has focused on providing expert histology services to the toxicology research community.  Our technical services include:

Facilities

EPL operates two fully-equipped histology laboratories.  The laboratories are located near Washington Dulles International Airport in Sterling, Virginia, and adjacent to the Research Triangle Park in Durham, North Carolina.  Collectively, the two laboratories have the capability of processing over 500,000 tissues annually. 

People

EPL's staff consists of technicians with a wide range of talent and expertise, many of whom are certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and/or hold advanced degrees.  Laboratory systems have been established to facilitate a highly productive workflow.  All of the systems allow flexibility for the most demanding deadlines.  Both laboratories can provide necropsy teams to meet your needs.  The teams can be provided as prosectors, technical assistants and/or pathologists, or as fully equipped teams.
