EPL services are delivered by experienced scientific and technical personnel, either at our own state-of-the-art facilities or at the client’s site. Our two histology laboratories are staffed by highly trained technicians, many of whom are ASCP-certified Histologic Technicians. Utilizing the most sophisticated instrumentation available, these laboratories can produce slides from more than 50,000 tissues per month. Each facility has an experienced quality Assurance Unit that routinely performs a 100% data audit of all EPL work, including quarterly facility inspections.

For over 33 years, EPL has innovated procedures and systems that allow our staff to accommodate critical deadlines and client needs. These innovations include:

• A data and tissue tracking system, the cornerstone of our efficiency and productivity.
• A “checks and balances” system for histopathology data handling and workflow -- from receipt of study materials to report presentation.
• A Pathology Peer Review System (PQA), unmatched in the industry, that streamlines the peer review process and expedites finalization of regulatory reports.
• Client-site services: EPL was the first organization to offer necropsy, histology, and pathology support at the client’s site as a seamless extension of a client’s own capabilities.
